FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I know that your tickets are real?
All of the tickets on Tixsave.com are 100% genuine. Tixsave.com is not directly affiliated with any box office or venue, every ticket you see posted on our site is listed by a reputable ticket broker. The ticket listings on Tixsave.com represent the combined inventory of thousands of established ticket brokers across the country.

What is a ticket broker?
A ticket broker buys tickets from several sources; such as wholesalers, season ticket holders or fans that may want to sell their tickets, etc., and then resells them at increased prices that reflect their costs in obtaining the tickets. While many people compare ticket brokers to ticket scalpers, there are big differences between the two. Ticket brokers guarantee ticket authenticity; maintain physical office locations with regular business hours, and offer proven customer service. Due to the difficulty of purchasing good seats (or sometimes, any seats) when they go on sale through Ticketmaster or the box office, ticket brokers are increasingly becoming the route to take when you need tickets for a hard to get or sold out event.

Why buy tickets from a ticket broker?
Ticket brokers provide a valuable service for many reasons. One of the biggest differences between a ticket broker and the box office is that you have a choice of where you get to sit. Ticket brokers are convenient, there’s no need to stand in line or wait on the phone or on the internet at any particular time just to get seats you may or may not like. If you have a favorite performer coming to town or simply must have the best seats to an upcoming event, ticket brokers are a great way to go. Often tickets are needed at the last minute and only a ticket broker can help, sometimes tickets are not even sold to the general public (ie: Super Bowl) or are otherwise impossible to get, but a ticket broker can get you in.

How do ticket brokers get their tickets?
Ticket brokers put their capital at risk daily by purchasing tickets from season ticket holders, wholesalers, conventional public sales, and soliciting through advertising. Ticket brokers are not affiliated with Ticketmaster and do not buy up large blocks of tickets prior to the public sale of tickets.

How does Tixsave.com calculate its ticket prices?
The prices of tickets on our site are based on the prices set by the ticket brokers that are offering those tickets for sale. These prices reflect the fair market value of the tickets based on the difficulty of acquiring the tickets, as well as factors such as the popularity of the event, the location of the seat, and the number of available tickets to the event. The prices of tickets on our site are often higher than the face value that is printed on the tickets themselves, reflecting the difference between the face value and the fair market value.

Why are your tickets above the face value?
The costs for obtaining tickets are always related to availability and market demand. At times, ticket brokers may pay many times the original face value to obtain tickets that are in demand. Ticket brokers often risk a great amount of capital by estimating the demand from their customers in order to provide a great selection, and it’s not unusual for ticket brokers to lose some or most of their investment in any particular event.

What is the face value of these tickets?
We only know the price that our ticket brokers are listing for tickets and often cannot discern what the actual face value is of the tickets being listed for sale.

Why do you charge a Service Fee?
The service fee reflects the cost associated with obtaining hard to find and premium seats.

Why can't I purchase a single ticket?
Ticket Brokers are often unwilling to break up large, even groups of tickets to provide a smaller odd number of tickets to a group of one, three or five. If you have a small, odd number in your party, we recommend you look for an odd numbered group of tickets and choose from that group, or give our customer service representatives a call at (866) 206-5393 to try and meet your needs.

Are the seats next to each other?
All of our groups of tickets are for consecutive seats unless specifically noted otherwise.

What is Ticketfast?
Ticketfast tickets are the new form of print-your-own tickets being offered by Ticketmaster. Due to security agreements with various agents, unless otherwise noted, Ticketfast tickets are printed and shipped to the customer just as any other ticket would be. Ticketfast tickets are as valid as traditional hard tickets. The name printed on the ticket belongs to the individual whose credit card was used to purchase the ticket originally; however, this does not require that individual to be the one using the ticket.

How do I track my order after purchase?
In most cases your order will be shipped out the day you order the tickets. In some cases however, this is not possible, and sometimes an estimated delivery date will be given with the group of tickets you order. The ticket broker filling your order should contact you directly to give you an indication of when the item will be shipped, if the tickets aren't going to be shipped immediately. The best way to check on the status of your order is to contact your ticket broker directly at the phone number or email address provided in your confirmation email. If you have any problems finding out the status of your order, don't hesitate to email us at tixsave@ticketnetworkdirect.com or give us a call at (866) 206-5393 and we will provide you with this information.

What is your return and refund policy?
All ticket purchases through our site are final, and refunds are not available except in cases where an event is permanently cancelled (ie: a sports event that becomes unnecessary in a playoff situation).

What happens if I lose my tickets?
Event tickets are not replaceable, so please take great care not to lose or accidentally destroy your tickets.
